About TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT)
The National Qualifier Test (NQT) is a General Ability Test that evaluates a candidates’ skills in the following areas:
- Numerical Ability: Examines the candidates’ ability to infer meaning from numerical data and covers basic numerical and statistical operations.
- Reasoning Ability: Assesses the candidates’ ability to solve everyday issues using deductive and inductive logic, as well as critical thinking.
- Verbal Ability: This section assesses candidates’ ability to read and write.

The TCS NQT selection process consists of the three rounds listed below.
1. TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT) - Online

TCS NQT Recruitment - Application Process
All interested candidates may apply for the TCS NQT using the process below.
- Go to https://learning.tcsionhub.in/hub/national-qualifier-test/ to register with TCS
- Click the “Register Now” button
- After clicking the “Register Now” button, you will be routed to a side menu
- If you already have a TCS iON account, enter your login information.
- If this is your first time using the platform, click the Create Account button to the right.
How to “Create Account”
- Click the Create Account button to be taken to a new page.
- Fill in all of your information, including your name, email address, phone number, DOB, and password.
- Double-check your email address as it will be used for all future correspondence.
NOTE: Your password must have at least one uppercase, one lowercase, one special character, and one digit, and it must be at least eight characters long.
Important Note
- After inputting all the details, it will ask you to Generate OTP for authenticating your mobile number.
- Click the generate OTP button to be redirected to a new page where you must complete the captcha.
- Your mobile number will receive an OTP.
- Enter the OTP and then click "Validate Number."
- After entering all of your information, you will be asked to agree on the terms and conditions. To do so, tick the box.
Make sure you check the boxes on all three tabs. Otherwise, you will not be able to go to the next step.
Click the green button below after you have accepted all three tabs. You will be redirected to a new form page.
Filling The Details
- Fill out with all of your personal information in Section 1
- Fill in all of your qualifications in Section 2
- Upload your photo in Section 3.
Things to keep in mind
- Fill in your personal information.
- Validate your number once more, just like we did before.
- Provide the details of your qualification
- By clicking the three-dot button, you can enter the name of your college.
- It will open a pop-up window to enter your information like your Institute Name, State, and City, then click on Search.
- Choose your college from the list if it shows in the search results
- Alternately, select others and complete all of the information about your college.
Select your exam mode
- Choose your preference whether you want to take the exam in an exam centre or online from the comfort of your own home.
- Upload your image as a JPG or JPEG file. The size of your photograph should be greater than 1 MB.
- Mark Yes on the Subject NQT Test, which is required for all branches.
- Fill in the captcha.
- On the declaration, put a checkmark.
- Submit the form.
Note: When you click the Submit Button, your application form is complete. In a pop-up window, you will see your Application ID. Do keep a record of it for future reference and close the window. It will then provide you with a review of your complete application form, giving you the opportunity to make any necessary changes before resubmitting it. Alternatively, if you are fine with the application process, you can close the window. Your application is complete at this point, and you will receive a confirmation email.

Q2. Which branches are Eligible for TCS NQT?
A. For B.E./ B.Tech, all streams are eligible like CSE, IT, ECE, ME, CE, etc. However, for M.E./ M.Tech, only branches like CSE, IT, ECE are eligible.
Q3. When and how should I opt for Online Remote Proctored Assessment or In-Centre Assessment modes?
A. If you want to take the exam online using a laptop or desktop, choose Online Remote Proctored Assessment and keep in mind that this assessment does not support mobile devices. Make sure that the following requirements are met.
- Windows/Ubuntu Operating System
- Google Chrome
- Internet speed - at least 2 Mbps is required.
- A webcam that works
If you do not have the necessary set up for the Online Remote Proctored Assessment, you can choose the In-Centre option to take the test physically from a TCS iON Digital Zone.
Q4. Where can I get the information on my completed registration? How can I make changes to my application after it has been submitted?
A. You can view the registration details from 'Track My Application" on the "TCS Next Step" page. You can make changes to your application on or before the registration closure date.
Q5. Is it possible to switch the test mode from Online Remote Proctored Assessment to In-Centre testing, or vice versa?
A. No, you cannot modify the test mode once you have selected it; therefore, make an informed decision when selecting your test mode.
Q6. How can we know the assessment results?
After you finish the exam, the results will be screened and sent to the email address and phone number you gave at the time of registration. This could take up to three days. If you have not received your score within three days, e contact us.contact TCS iON HelpDesk (1800 266 6282).
