What can you expect if you get a job with Google?

It would be an understatement to say that you are in for a treat if you receive a job offer from Google. Google has consistently made it to the top 100 list of the best companies to work for, for the past ten years, one of only three companies to do so. Google offers some of the best employee benefits in the world, like student loan repayment, workplace accommodation for physical or mental health issues, and survivor income benefits.

Google has a 'Googler-to-Googler' initiative in which employees collaborate and coach one another on management, public speaking, etc.

Another reason Google is one of the finest places to work is the company's flexible work-hours policy. Employees are encouraged to work on their terms because there is no set schedule. This gives Google employees the ability to think as creatively as possible without being constrained by work hours. Now that more individuals are being completely vaccinated, Google is considering a hybrid strategy in which employees go to work three days a week and work remotely the other two days.  It would even allow people to work full-time from home. However, many google employees have stated going to the workplace voluntarily in recent months. Free meals at any time of day, entertainment areas (including video games, nap rooms, indoor activities, meditation room, and so on) to relax or spark inspiration are just a few of the perks offered by the company

How to land a job at Google – Preparation tips

1. Get to know Google's culture.

Because Google is so prestigious, it is easy to jump to the conclusion that you should apply without thinking things through. However, it is important to note that a job's prestige is not enough to make you happy in your day-to-day employment. It all depends on the type of work you do and the people you work with. It is good to talk to engineers who work at Google or have previously worked there to understand the culture. In addition, we recommend that you read the information on the internet.

2. Brush up on your technical abilities with the help of the Google Tech Dev Guide and participate in coding contests regularly to practice coding. To prepare for the technical rounds, Google advises reading the book "Cracking the Coding Interview."

3. Your GPA is just one of many criteria examined in the selection process, so do not stress too much about it.

4. Because recruiters are more interested in candidates’ relevant experiences and accomplishments, it is important to be explicit about the projects you have worked on and how they turned out.

5. Make your resume as appealing as possible to the recruiters reviewing it. Mention all the skills that you have, your interests.  your extra curricular activities and so on. They want to see that you have interests outside of work.
