Roles and Packages

Accenture has announced two roles with exciting packages this year. The following are the details.

1.   Software Associate Engineer (4.5 LPA)

2. Associate Software Engineer, Advanced (6.5 LPA)

Candidates will be chosen for ASE and SE roles based on their overall performance.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • Full-time B.E. / B. Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech. / MCA / M.Sc. program (All streams)
  • Year of graduation: 2019/2020/2021
  • Backlogs: No active backlogs during the application process or during onboarding
  • A maximum of a one-year gap in education (post 10th standard till completion of graduation)
  • Candidates should not have taken part in any Accenture Recruitment or interview process in the previous three months
  • Work Permit: Must be a citizen of India. Bhutanese & Nepalese citizens are not required to seek a visa to work in India. All other foreign nationals need either a work visa or an OCI / PIO card to work in India. In the absence of additional documents (PIO/OCI/Work permit/passport), Bhutanese and Nepalese nationals must also produce a Citizenship certificate or a Govt. ID Card

Test pattern

  • There are three stages to the Accenture Assessment Test.
  • The details of the online assessment will be emailed to all candidates who applied and were judged eligible.
  • There is a time limit on each assessment.
  • Please keep in mind that the first two assessments will take place on the same day.
  • The communication test will take place independently, with a notification provided to your email.

The test's specifics are listed below.

  • Stage 1 lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes -  This is an elimination round.
  • Stage 2 takes 45 minutes to complete: Stages 2 and 3 are mandatory, however, not elimination rounds
  • Those who pass Stage 1 and attempt Stage 2 will be invited to participate in Stage 3.
  • The performance of Stage 3 will be used as a reference in the interview, and the package will be assigned based on overall performance at a zonal level.

Test syllabus

Round 1: Assessment of cognitive and technical abilities, 20-25 questions, 50 Minutes

Platform used: CoCubes

This is the written test, and this is the first round of elimination. It is divided into three sections. The main topics to keep an eye on in each section are listed below.

Numerical Ability - Algebra, Averages, Divisibility, Equations, Geometry, HCF and LCM, Logarithms, Mensuration, Progression, Profit & Loss, Ratio and Proportion, Simple and Compound Interest, Trigonometry, Series and Progression, Areas, Numbers, Relations and Functions, Pipes and Cisterns, Time and Work, Probability/Pnc, Percentage, Speed and Distance.

Analytical Reasoning - Arrangements, Analogies, Coding and Decoding, Directional Sense, Inferred Meaning, Logical Sequence, Visual Reasoning, Blood Relations, Flowcharts-Visual Reasoning-DI, Statement & Conclusions, Agree Disagree Psychometric, Seating Arrangement.

Written Communication - Reading Comprehension, Synonyms & Antonym, Articles, Sentence Correction, Prepositions, Idioms and Phrases, Speech and Tenses, Spotting the Errors, Sentence Arrangement

Round 2: Coding Round, 2 Questions, 45 Minutes

You can expect Questions based on data structures up to LinkedList

Round 3 : Communication Test , 20 Minutes 

Reading: In this round, you will be given 8 sentences to read aloud which appears on the screen in text form. You just have to read it out loud for 20-30 seconds in the window. You will be directed to read sentence 1 by the interviewing audio, and then you will be required to read it out loud with proper pronunciation within a few seconds. This method can be repeated for a few sentences.

Repeating Sentences: You will be given 16 audio sentences in this round.) You must listen carefully to what the audio reads (usually a sentence) and then repeat it aloud, which will test your ability to pronounce the words correctly.

Jumbled Sentences: The audio files of 10 jumbled sentences will be given. which you will have to unjumble and read aloud.

A question and answer round:  There will be no text on the screen and just 24 simple questions will be asked verbally. Each question must be answered in one or two words. Like (How is the weather?)

Storytelling: You will be required to listen to an audio file, most likely a short story, twice. The catch is that you must grasp the story and retell it in your own words when asked for a brief excerpt within 30 seconds.

Open questions: You will be asked an audio question and will have one minute to respond before being asked another question. For example, What is your opinion on lockdown?

Things to Keep in Mind

  • After the Cognitive and Technical assessments are completed, the result will be communicated within 5-10 minutes
  • The Coding assessment will begin immediately after the previous stage result is notified.
  • It is recommended that you remain seated and wait for results rather than turning off your computer.

Round 4 : Interview, 25 – 40 Minutes

Following the completion of the test, candidates will be notified to choose a time slot for the interview.

You will receive a confirmation of interview details through email or SMS once you have confirmed your slot. You will be interviewed by two members of the panel.

  • Tell me how do you handle disagreement
  • Tell me a situation where you have been asked to take a difficult decision

System Requirements (Desktop or laptop)

  • Video or Audio:  A good quality webcam and microphone (USB or 3.5 mm jack microphones, NOT Bluetooth headsets/ earbuds or system mic) 
  • Operating System: Windows 8 or 10 / MAC OS X 10.9 Mavericks or Higher
  • Browser: Google Chrome, Latest  Version
  • RAM : 4GB+ RAM and i3 5th generation 2.2 Ghz or equivalent/higher
  • Processor: i3 5th generation 2.2 Ghz or equivalent/higher

Internet Connection

  • A broadband connection with a reliable and stable internet connection of at least 2Mbps, void unstable 3G/4G networks
  • VPN/Proxy must be turned off

Headsets for communication assessment:

  • A USB-enabled Headset with a microphone, or a good quality headset with a single jack - 3.5 mm with a microphone 
  • Avoid using Bluetooth headsets or on-system speakers and microphones.
