Job Description

As an Associate software engineer, you will be part of a team and work on various projects. To excel in this profession, you will require exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and technical abilities. You must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with clients. You must be willing and able to work on any project, including those that operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week in an Agile environment.

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Qualification: BE/B.Tech-CS/CE/IT/E&C/E&TC/Telecom/ Communication/Electronics or MCA/M.Sc (Computer Science)
  • There should be no backlogs
  • Provisional Degree Certificate or Consolidated Mark sheet is required.
  • Should have a minimum of 60% (without rounding up) throughout education
  • There should be no more than a one-year education gap

Additional Information

  • After being selected, the candidate would be placed on probation for three months with a CTC of INR 2.6 lakh per annum.
  • Candidates will be offered a CTC of IN 3.25 L/ year upon the conclusion of probation.
  • Candidates will be required to sign an indemnity bond for INR 1 L for a minimum of two years from the date of hire.

  • Upon successful registration, The Registration ID and Registration PIN will be sent to you through email.

Selection Process

Tech Mahindra Off Campus Drive has a new round with the combination of other rounds named Story writing/Essay writing. There are four rounds in total.

In order to pass the interview, candidates must thoroughly understand each round and practice extensively.

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will receive an invitation to take virtual and proctored online examinations via the email address in about 1- 2 weeks from the date of enrolment. Also, check your spam/junk mail folders.

Shortlisted candidates from the registration list will be called for an aptitude test, an English essay/story, a technical interview, and an HR interview. Each of these will serve as a filter for the next step in the selection process.

Detailed information 

Round 1 (Written Test): The first round of the Tech Mahindra Recruitment Process is an elimination round, with only a specified number of candidates moving on to round two (as determined by the company).

The written test has a total time limit of 50 minutes.

There is no time limit for each section.

There is no negative marking.

Psychometric Test): (optional)

Candidates who pass Round 1 of the Tech Mahindra interview process are given a Psychometric Test.  This round is a personality psychometric assessment for evaluating work behavior. This is a non-elimination phase in which candidates must complete an eighty-question written test (now available online) in around 20/30 minutes.

Technical - Test

Another written test is designed to evaluate a candidate's technical competence and aptitude. The following sections must be completed in less than two hours for this round:

  • Analytical and Numerical Ability

  • Algorithms and Data Structures

  • Software Testing Concepts
  • Pseudo Code
  • Hands-on Programming
  • Fluid Intelligence
  • Database Query Languages like SQL (Structured Query Language)

This round is also one of the elimination rounds.

Round 2: Write an essay based on the random image

One image will be displayed on the screen during this round. You need to write 200 words to compose an essay. This essay should not tale more than 15 minutes to complete. This is also an elimination round.

Round 3: Technical interviews

This round will nclude questions about any element of the candidates' studies. To pass this round, you must have a clear understanding of the principles of computer science. data structures, algorithms, database management systems, operating systems, networking, object-oriented programming concepts, and a programming language of choice (C++, Java, Python, etc.).

Candidates in domains other than computer science should focus on subjects relevant to their field.

Candidates for Computer Science will be tested in terms of coding during the interview. 

This round may also include puzzle-related questions.

The panel will also ask you questions regarding your résumé, so make sure you remember everything you have written in your resume.

Round 4: HR Round

A final HR Round is held if a candidate passes the technical interviews. Most candidates believe that the HR interview is simple, but keep in mind that a poor interview can jeopardize your chances of securing the job, even if you have cleared all other rounds. The candidate is given behavioral questions to determine whether or not he or she is a cultural match for the company. The goal is to maintain a pleasant and confident demeanor. Remember to smile throughout.
